Abstract
The evolving landscape of Vocational education and training (VET) continues to ask more of students. Students are expected to be equipped with the skills and competencies required to perform tasks in the workforce, but are also expected to be critical thinkers, with time management skills, who can work in diverse teams and adapt to change. Current industry feedback suggests that students are not meeting these requirements, showing an opportunity for educational innovations to target these areas and develop the transferrable skills (sometimes known as soft skills, or work-readiness skills) of students.
